Aemetis Announces Production at Keyes Advanced Biofuels Plant

Plant completes successful re-start, begins shipping products to customers

Cupertino, Calif. – May 2, 2013 – Aemetis, Inc. (OTCQB: AMTX), an advanced fuels and renewable chemicals company, announced today that the Aemetis 60 million gallon per year capacity ethanol facility in Keyes, California has restarted production and is now shipping ethanol and distillers grains following its restart last week.

The Keyes plant is using corn as the principal feedstock, with grain sorghum or a feedstock blend to be used later this month to maximize operating income.  The company expects to utilize a combination of grain sorghum and biogas to qualify for advanced biofuel renewable identification numbers (RINs) when a favorable spread exists between D5 and D6 RINs.
